DIM-01 These are the machines that carry out the process of removing the axles and CER engines of various locomotives from the locomotive and transporting them to another area thanks to the underground tunnel.
DIM-01 Axle lowering mechanism generally consists of 4 vertical columns and an underground tunnel with two mouths where the machine will move.
The pit mouths of the axle lowering facility are located on the rail tracks. The rails on the parts coming to these pit mouths are in a detachable structure.
When it is desired to lower the axle from the locomotive, the rails at the mouth of the pit are removed. Afterwards, the table of the Axle lowering machine, which is brought to the pit, is moved upwards and one half of the locomotive is lifted by the machine. The pins of the locomotive bogies that are freed from the load are removed and the lowering process is started. The dismantled locomotive wheelset is lowered from the pit mouth. Lateral movement is started to move the wheelset lowered to the pit floor through the channel. When the wheel set, which is shifted horizontally in the pit, comes to the other pit mouth, the system stops automatically and the table is moved upwards and the wheelset is removed from the pit mouth onto the rail track and the process is completed.
When the CER motor is desired to be lowered, the same operations as mentioned above are repeated. CER motor is lowered between the rail as mentioned above and lifted from the other pit.
The fixture on which the rail wheels will sit on the table of the machine is designed according to the standard rail opening. (Standard track clearance is 1435 mm.)
The Axle Lowering Mechanism has the ability to lift a part of the locomotive safely up to 100 tons during up-down use.
Axle Lowering Mechanism It has the capacity to safely transport the 10-ton wheel set horizontally (forward-backward).
Although the movement type of the system is electromechanical movement, there are 4 separate columns on the workbench and a threaded rod-nut system in each column.
Trapezoidal threads are drilled on the screw shafts used in the workbench and it has a self-locking structure.
Trapezoidal screw materials are made of special alloy steel.
The nuts used in my site are made of bronze material.
It carries out the movement on the rails on the pit floor thanks to the Ø400 diameter rail wheels placed on the machine.
There is speed control in the Horizontal Movement System and you can adjust the speed of the machine.
The mechanism is PLC Controlled and there is a TFT touch screen on it.
The instant control of the movement is monitored by the PLC, and in case of any malfunction or unbalanced downloads, the situation will be detected by the PLC and the movement will be terminated. The user can see the error warning on the screen.
Inside the facility, there is a wheeled main control panel and also a remote control.
On the main control panel cover, there are up/down buttons for the axle lowering mechanism, forward/backward buttons for the wheels (horizontal movement), an emergency stop button for the emergency stop and on/off switch for the machine lighting inside the tunnel.
In addition, there are emergency stop buttons on the remote control, on the lift legs inside the pit, up/down buttons for the axle lowering mechanism, and forward/back buttons for horizontal movement.
Safety safety switches are positioned at different points on the system.
When the machine reaches its up and down limits in the pit, it stops automatically and this situation is indicated on the screen alarm page.
When the pit heads are reached during the forward or backward movement of the facility in the pit, the system automatically stops and this situation is indicated on the screen alarm page.
In the event of a possible damage to the bronze nuts that perform the Vertical Movement, the system automatically notices this and stops the movement, and this situation is indicated on the screen alarm page.
